I am a geomatics engineer specialising in geovisualization and Earth observation, completing the Copernicus Master in Digital Earth as an Erasmus Mundus scholarship holder.
My master's research builds a geovisual storytelling platform that integrates two very different displacement signals: drought-driven migration across Europe (2005-2015) and landslide displacement in Malawi (2023). Alongside it, I mapped landslides triggered by Cyclone Freddy from Sentinel-2 and PlanetScope imagery on the LEONA project at the University of Salzburg, which develops Earth-observation landslide information for humanitarian response together with Médecins Sans Frontières.
What connects these is one question: when we model an environmental process, how do we know where it fails, and how do we show it?
